I knew Lauren had her own fashion line.  I heard through the grapevine that she doesnt actually design the clothes herself.
But I am shocked to announce that she was asked to design dressses for last night's Emmy Awards!

The dresses she designed were for the women handing out statues. In an interview before the show she was quoted as saying, "I will be doing a red carpet look that still reflects the simple classic design of the Lauren Conrad Collection but with a black tie twist."

Another up and coming designer who was asked to design some pieces for the show was Project Runway's winner Christian Siriano.

The reality star winner, known for his "fierce" design, said of Conrad's line (and other Hills "designers"), "I mean, it's fun and flirty and young, but they're not innovators. None of them will ever be an innovative designer. Buyers and editors are looking for longevity, and hopefully they will see that in me."

After watching the show I wonder who's dresses were whose?
Either way, good step up kids! You designed dresses for people that no one pays attention to.
