Poor old Johnny McCain lost big-time to Democrat Barack Obama in the race for the President of the United States last night.
Here are the top 5 reasons why he could’ve never won this election, no matter how many times he waved his stiff arms around, and called everyone his “friend”.
1. McCain didn’t have the budget to beat his opponent.
Old Johnny only had $85 million to spend on his campaign. Compare that to Barack’s $650 million! The democrat clearly dominated the airwaves. McCain didn’t stand a chance.
2. McCain’s association with George W. Bush.
“W” is one of the most unpopular presidents in American history, and Johnny had a tough time separating himself, considering they are both republican.
I have to say he tried his hardest to let the country know he has different views than the current president without specifically rejecting his presidency.
But everyone knew better, including the republicans!
3. Another crappy association…Sarah Palin.
Where do you start with the problems with Palin? She has no national experience, no foreign experience, didn’t know much about foreign policy. She underwent an ethics investigation, she spent $150.000 on her clothes for the campaign all the while claiming to be the “middle America” hockey mom.
Not to mention all the stupid stunts she pulled like her Katie Couric interview, and being pranked by comedians on the radio.
In short, she’s a dumbass and John picked her to run by his side.
4. McCain’s campaign took personal attacks on Obama too far, according to the media.
Although he only ran 10% more purely negative ads than his opponent, they apparently were more personal.
I guess people don’t take kindly to associating Obama with a terrorist.
5. And finally, he just couldn’t beat Obama’s cool under pressure in the presidential debates.
Johnny wandered around the stage, got pissed off, or tried not to get too worked up and it just looked amateurish beside the “presidential” confidence of Barack.
I take my hat off to the old guy for putting up such a good fight, especially at his age, after he’s tried so many times, and with his health. But it’s just never gonna work!
