5 Reasons Why We Should Still Love John McCain PDF Print E-mail

Last night, John McCain made an appearance on the Jay Leno Show and proved that he is humble and funny!

In his first television appearance since his loss to President-elect Barack Obama, Senator Johnny had a lot to talk about.

Here are the 5 reasons why we should still love McCain:

1.    He tried to crack a joke in his cute old man way.
When Leno asked him how he is feeling now, a week out of the election, McCain announced he’s been “sleeping like a baby”….sleep two hours, wake up and cry. Sleep two hours, wake up and cry.”
2.    He proved he is humble.
“Campaigns are tough..” he told Jay. “ ..Now it’s time for America to join together and suppor the man who was just elected President.”
3.    He stuck to his original dumb ass decision of choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate and thanked her for her service to their campaign.
At least he’s being consistent!
4.    Being it was Veterans Day Johnny took the time to tell a good old P.O.W. story on the show. I’ll never get sick of those – mavericky!
5.    When asked why the American public didn’t get to see the lighter side of John McCain more during his campaign, McCain’s answer was “I didn’t think Americans wanted a stand up comedian in the White House.” He also added this remark in reference to not blaming the media for his loss, “You know, one thing I think Americans don't want is a sore loser."

Combine all this with his stiff armed waves to the audience – how could you not love him!
